This collection of eleven flatpicking solos by National Flatpicking Guitar Champion Mark Cosgrove includes three which were winners at the National Flatpicking Championship in Winfield, Kansas. These songs are challenging and enjoyable for the intermediate to advanced guitarist. More importantly for the potential flatpicking championship contender, these tunes contain some of the required ingredients for a national competition: crosspicking, open-string or floating passages, and sections which require a certain amount of stamina when played at speed. However, a good time can be had by all by just taking them apart and playing around with them slowly and easily. The solos are written in standard notation and tablature with guitar accompaniment chords provided. Most but not all of the tunes found in this book were previously published in the book Good Medicine. This book has been revised and updated and the former book Good Medicine is out of print. Includes access to online audio.
