I was so delighted with this idea that I played through all his 555 sonatas. I could not get his sensitive and dramatic music out of my mind. I selected some passages and incorporated them in an aria of my opera. Hommage à Domenico Scarlatti is an arrangement of this aria in which the vocal tenor part is performed by a horn solo.
