A Three-Pice suite: 1. Hildegard's Rose, 2. Hildegard's Lavender, 3. Hildegard's Nutmeg. These settings of texts by the German 12th century nun Hildegard von Bingen, was commissioned by Dale Jergenson for the Cantori Domino singers of Santa Monica, CA (Maurita Phillips-Thornburgh, artistic director), who premiered it May 27, 2007 with Susan Kasenow as soprano soloist. The texts are an often funny mixture of folk wisdom, medieval medicine, and superstition. Performance time: 8 minutes.
