Artful Arrangement for Concert Band
While not a vocal score, Johnnie Vinson's "Sound of Music" arrangement for concert band is excellently crafted. The Grade 2 difficulty ensures accessibility, yet the voicing is rich. I appreciate how different sections, like the trombones and baritones in Do-Re-Mi, are featured, maintaining interest and demonstrating good instrumental voice-leading. It supports the iconic melodies beautifully for a full ensemble sound.

Solid & Reliable for Performances
This "Sound of Music" medley is a dependable choice for gigs and community concerts. As a Grade 2 arrangement, it's quickly learned but still sounds full and engaging. The medley structure hits all the beloved tunes, making it a crowd-pleaser. Parts are clearly engraved, and the arrangement is standard enough to fit into any event requiring accessible, quality band music. Good value for a set of parts.
