1.
Arranged for guitar.
2. Guitar TAB w/ rhythms added.
3. Left and Right hand fingerings added
4. Chord nomenclature added to roughly summarize the harmony and to aid in improvising.
5. Fonts made larger and more attractive.
6. Mordent added.
7. Beginner friendly.

I added quite a bit of fingerings to this. Ideally performers should do this themselves but adding them also solidifies the arrangement and saves the performer some time.

History:
1. English folk song with a rich history
2. The earliest known reference to "Greensleeves" dates back to 1580, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.
3. It was registered at the London Stationer's Company by Richard Jones, indicating its popularity in the late 16th century.
4. It is composed in the style of a romanesca, a popular chord progression pattern of the Renaissance period.
5. While legend attributes the composition to King Henry VIII, this clasim is widely disputed by historians and musicologists.
6. The style of the music suggests it is more likely from the Elizabethan era rather than the earlier Tudor period.
7. The song's lyrics tell the story of a lover lamenting unrequited love.
8. "Greensleeves" has been referenced in literature, including works by Shakespeare.
9. It has been adapted and arranged numerous times in various musical styles, including classical, jazz, and pop.
10. The tune is famously used for the Christmas carol "What Child is This?" with lyrics written by William Chatterton Dix in 1865. Despite its association with Christmas, the original song has no connection to the holiday.
11. The piece is typically structured in AABB form.

Tips:
1. This piece has an excellent example of melodic minor (A B C D E F# G#).
2. Even though including F# more often may not be historically accurate, they actually make it more ancient sounding by making it sound more modal.
