SATB choir with baritone voice and soprano voice soli, piano - Medium

SKU: PL.9116

Composed by Leslie Betteridge. Choral, Christmas, Pentecost. Octavo. Paraclete Press #9116. Published by Paraclete Press (PL.9116).

Betteridge's "dramatic paraphrase" of this famous Christmas carol communicates the message of the text in a miniature comedic drama. Staging directions are designed to allow considerable latitude in interpretation and adaptation. The essence of this work comes into focus throught the characters of the King and his page boy as the King instructs the boy about caring for others in need. The choral parts are not difficult but require careful attention to dramatic pacing. This will make an excellent addition to any music library's Christmas carol concert repertoire.
