Gloria in excelsis No.4, an opening and ending melody of the five-part chorus from the Mass in B minor (“Die h-Moll-Messe”) (BWV232) by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) transcription for mandolin, in modern notation including tablature and fingerings based on my performance. Video recording available in Youtube @ToomasRannu. The Mass in B minor (German: h-Moll-Messe), BWV 232, is an extended setting of the Mass ordinary by Johann Sebastian Bach. The composition was completed in 1749, the year before the composer's death, and was to a large extent based on earlier work. This monumental work is a synthesis of every stylistic and technical contribution the Cantor of Leipzig made to music.
