Instrumentally, this piece is suitable for early intermediate players, making this a perfect choice for your youth ensemble. All string parts are in first position, and there is an extensive pizzicato section that will help your students focus on rhythmic accuracy. Flute parts include articulation markings designed to encourage musicality and include a 2 1/2 octave range. The piece is in Bb, making it a challenge for your more advanced string players but placing it well within the reach of early flutists. We recommend placing your strongest players on Flute 1 and Violin 3. A great choice for a family ensemble or community ensemble!
