This arrangement puts a new spin on the old Christmas carol. Gaudete is meant to be a bridge between the a cappella setting and a new audience/singer. Helped by a rhythmic piano part, this piece holds on the original tune and voicings enough to be recognized, but gives it some flavor. This would be great for an intermediate SATB choir with opportunities for solos. The Latin text is minimal for the choir if solos are utilized for the verses. This could be done for your Christmas concert or even a festival. Would be great with a combo.
