Four Fagotten March was composed for the Northern Hills Bassoon Ensemble and Director Russ Hinkle. It is essentially a military-style march with characteristic themes, but with a few harmonic twists. Performers should carefully observe articulation marks and note lengths in order to produce the all-important contrasts of longs and shorts so essential to the genre. Likewise, careful observation of dynamics will help bring this jaunty work to life.
