As heard on Youtube, freshly arranged for SA and violin, this original hymn for Lent blends solid, studied theology with haunting, Celtic-style melodies and a simple refrain, easy for a small or beginner choir to pick up and start singing immediately. It works well as a song to tie the various weeks of Lenten church services together, as a responsorial song that can fit anywhere in the service that needs a solemn moment of introspection and faith. It also makes a beautiful presentation for an Ash Wednesday service or any other time during Lent.
