This choral arrangement of the hymn expresses Paul’s prayer from Ephesians 1 and 3. I personally pray this for loved ones, and encourage you to contemplate Paul’s prayer. Perhaps this setting can bring fresh eyes to your heart, and the hearts of your loved ones.  

The SATB arrangement is appropriate for choral singing at the high school or collegiate level or above with piano accompaniment. The moving accompaniment represents Christian growth by transitioning through initially quirky enlightenment, tender growth of heartfelt faith, confidence in the miracle of knowing God’s love, and good words of great hope. Powerful emotions accompany prayers set to B-minor and culminate into Paul’s triumphant benediction in D-major. The melody is shared across all parts. A special alto descant in the second verse personalizes the wonder of Christ dwelling in our hearts, as if hearing and really understanding the depth of God’s promises for the first time, and the descant would also work as an Alto solo. To maximize suitability at the high school level, an optional second soprano part is included in certain passages to accommodate artists lacking A5 in their vocal range. The expected range for bass is down to G2, but an optional part is also included in the final Amen for basses with exceptionally low range (with options to sing as low as F#2, E2, or D2).  

Vocal Ranges: Soprano: D4 -- A5 (F#5 for optional part); Alto: B3 – C#5; Tenor: D3 – A4; Bass: G2 – B3 (as low as F#2, E2, or D2 for optional part)
