By Stevie Wonder. By Orlando Murden. Arranged by Johan Fernold. This edition: audio, pdf, streaming. Rhythm Section. Pop, R & B, Soul. 12 pages. Odigit Music #1137127. Published by Odigit Music (A0.1565050).
An arrangement of the Motown song For Once in My life for SATB Choir and lead singer with a rythm section. Originally recorded by Connie Haines in 1965 but subsequently recorded by artist such as Nancy Wilson, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and not least Stevie Wonder who made the song an eternal classic with his uptempo soulful version.
This arrangement opens with a pure, serene, a cappella section with an almost sacred and madrigal-like atmosphere. By the second verse the lead singer and the band kicks in and the mood changes in the blink of an eye with the Wonder-version as the main inspiration.
This purchase includes a separate lead sheet part for the singer and rythm section.
This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
