A Sonatina for SATB Chorus & Pianoforte. This work, one of the composer's earliest, features their Neo-Baroque sound which was typical of their work during that period, but ends with a more Neo-Classical flavour. The work is at times sombre, but filled with moving, textured, glorious harmonies that inspire awe and introspection in equal measure. The pianoforte is a collaborative partner throughout the work, constantly in dialogue with the vocalists, but soaring alongside them, adding luminous colour and texture.
