Finding Your Way is a series which aims to build note-reading skills and develop piano technique in easy stages. This collection selects six of the longer pieces from Finding Your Way 1. They are arranged so that they can be played in sequence to form a complete mini-recital, if you wish. All of the pieces here use only 3 notes in each hand (white keys only), with the thumbs on Middle C. Note values are very simple, with nothing shorter than crotchets (quarter notes). Staccato dots and two-note slurs are introduced in the last two pieces. There are no dynamics, but simple directions can be added at the teacher's discretion. 1. Up And Down The Steps 2.
