Ms. Gaboury and pianist Deborah Moriarity presented the first performance of the new piece in 1994 at Michigan State University/ The two artists have also recorded the Fantasy-Etudes, Vol. V. on a MArk compact disc, Verne-Reynolds - Music for Horn, MCD 1524. The Fantasy-Etudes, Vol. V., utilize a variety of musical styles and include portions that are unmetered, a device often employed by Reynolds that creates a feeling if improvisation and emphasizes freedom.
