SKU: BZ.ENMS-84525

Composed by Soo-Hyun Park. Ensemble. Score & parts. Bravo Music #ENMS-84525. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84525).

Commissioned by Yonago Kita High School, this composition was completed in August 2018 and premiered in December of the same year.

"Fantasia" is an instrumental piece having free structure, its form and flavor vary depending on the composer and the work. This piece also emerged from my creative freedom, but it adopted the sonata form to imbue the dynamic and emotional aspects of free music with practicality and persuasive power.

The first theme "con brio" in 3/4, and the second theme, "leggiero" in 6/8 convey different expressions, yet they are both part of the same Allegro.
As a result, there is a correlation between elements such as pitch and rhythm. In the Vivace development, these two themes are interwoven horizontally and vertically to create a more three-dimensional and diverse musical experience. Additionally, the "Poco tempo rubato" provides a somewhat free and improvised bridge, as indicated by the marking "capriccioso".

In this piece, special sound effects are used at a minimum, appearing only at key moments, while emphasizing the dynamic development of the themes and motif to provide formal beauty.
