I love this book!
This book is great once you are off of beginner method books. It's also great for advanced players who aren't experienced in Jazz. The book starts out very basic with triads and goes all the way to ninth chords. There is a huge emphasis on rhythm which many methods overlook completely. The book has straight 8ths, swing, funk, Latin, and rock rhythms to name a few. There are backing tracks to keep you in time (which is the only way you can really mess up jazz). Book 2 has more advanced concepts for those interested. Book 2 is a continuation, so you'll want to get it once you finish book 1.
