With a choice of 3 violin and 3 cello parts, and optional viola, this is a great piece for school or adult ensembles which need to integrate absolute beginners and more advanced players. Cello 3 and Violin 3 parts are open string parts, plucked, for absolute beginners. They are not essential for the harmonic structure of the piece and can also be left out. Cello 2 and Violin 2 work well for beginners while Cello 1 and Violin 1 are written for the early intermediate player. Mix and Match parts as needed. .
