For the past decade my Kansas City church has used this choral piece (available at https://www.martin88.com/Product.aspx?Id=10771) to close their annual Tenebrae Service as the Christ candle was carried out of the sanctuary. I've never seen a better choral option for this moment in the church year! (For more information on this service, you can start with the Wikipedia discussion here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenebrae) A few years ago they commissioned me to orchestrate it in order to involve our instrumentalists...and you are looking at the resulting arrangement.
The demo is computer-generated, with all the inherent weaknesses that such a recording carries. However, it will give you a pretty good idea of the big picture. I believe that in performance we usually take it a click or two slower than this recording.
This PDF contains the full score and all the parts. As is my usual modus operandi, a C score is provided, which allows a supplemental keyboard to cover for any missing instruments. Also, I should mention that there is some redundancy written in, so the piece will fly without all the instruments listed. Or you could satisfactorily use just a string section or just a woodwind ensemble. (The drum part was included with the original octavo, and is really crucial for achieving the effect of a "death march.")
