The first movement, titled My Grandmother's Braids, is a synthesis of the dizzying vision of experiential chaos, the playful way of living, always with the energy of enjoying the moment. The second movement, My Grandfather's Mustaches, reflects the patience and wisdom of the elderly, the nostalgia that the memories of what has been experienced repeatedly circulate through the mind of a man in the twilight of his life.
Finally, the third movement, And stop that mule, is the new impetus to travel a
path known to the old but unknown to the new generations. This work combines minimalist, neotonal elements with melodies that recall the traditional sounds of Mexico.
That is why On That Cobbled Path recreates and combines the sounds of traditional Mexican music with the minimalism and techniques of contemporary academic music, achieving a rapprochement between the Son of the small-town musicians of Mexico with the enchantment of contemporary music.
