This anthem is a lighthearted account of the great prophet Elijah and his conflict with evil King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, notorious villains of the Old Testament. This piece is intended for services where a fun and lively anthem would be welcomed. Although the anthem is presented for SATB, it is readily adapted for SAB voicing.
