I found that the Handel's Hallelujah Chorus made for an excellent echo song. I've never heard this and it is hard to imagine that it has never been performed in this manner. I have arranged it for horn quartet, although, two groups could paly it with one quartet playing all dynamics from mf through fff, and the other group (maybe off stage) playing everything from mp down to ppp/ At least give it a listen for a whole new way to perform the great composition.
