Dodecaphonic piece No.1 for string quartet is written in the twelve-tone method and is generally built on a contrapuntal texture. The twelve-tone method was the result of the work of the composer Arnold Schöenberg, and consists of a method of composing with the 12 notes of the chromatic scale, and the relationships of these notes are regulated by a fixed linear order called tone row in which no note should be repeat.
