This text taken from the requiem Mass in the Roman Missal is attributed to Thomas of Celano (13th century). The English translation is adapted from William Josiah Irons (1848).
Excellent for advanced middle school, high school, college, or adult choirs. Majestic, driving accompaniment supports a detached melody alternating with legato passages Dynamics range from p < ff with lots of crescendos & decrescendos. Some crossover voicings in alto part Latin to English text Chords included for additional instruments.
