This work blends characteristic Spanish harmonies with Latin American rhythms and Swing, mixing the traditions of the Old and New World. Ideal for showcasing the ability of intermediate or advanced brass players, either at the beginning, or in the middle of a concert. This brass quintet can also add a bit of flare to a party, or act as a fanfare to get your audience excited for the show. This fanfare was commissioned by the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia, and was played before a concert there by the famous flamenco band, the Paco de Lucia Project.
