I had originally arranged this piece for Woodwind Quintet. Recently, I received a request to make a Saxophone Quartet version. The idea was intriguing to me and this is the result. I must say that it presented some challenges. Reducing the voices from five to four was probably the least of these. The similar timbres and limited range of the saxophone offered the most challenge. I think the results are pretty satisfying and I hope saxophone players will enjoy playing it. I apologize in advance for the poor quality of the mp3 file.
