Published by Military Bible Association (A0.997212).On February 12, 2020, Former Air Force Captain James F. Linzey, who served as a highly decorated officer and chaplain for the United States Air Force Space Command, felt led by God to write a prayer for the United States Space Force. He set his pen to paper the next day, and then music flowed from his heart. On February 22, 2020, he completed the hymn and titled it Creator of the Universe.
The Coffeyville Journal in Coffeyville, Kansas, wrote a front page article about, and by word of mouth, news of the prayer and hymn for United States Space Force Guardians spread across America. Church pastors and music directors and Space Force personnel began requesting the music and singing the hymn and adopted it as the United Space Force hymn.
In 2024, the Baptist Press interviewed James Linzey about the hymn for a huge Fourth of July article, followed by an interview and even larger write up by Christianity Today before Veterans' Day of that year, making 'Creator of the Universe' undisputably adopted as the United States Space Force Hymn. Radio airplay ensued with interviews by K-LOVE Radio, KJIL Radio, Metro Voice News. More articles were published by major newspapers, including the Montgomery Independent, Black Hills Pioneer, Baptist Messenger, The Times Examiner, Faith News Network, and more.
Finally, God's Learning Channel created the video of the hymn for the Department of the United States Air Force and the United States Space Force and the Space Force adopted 'Creator of the Universe' as the United States Space Force hymn.
