Menschen verschiedener Kulturen und Religionen – Juden, Moslems und Christen lebten dort in Eintracht zusammen und bedeutende Philosophen, Wissenschaftler und Künstler gingen aus dieser Stadt hervor. Avoroes, maurischer Philosoph, Maimonides, jüdischer Philosoph, Abu Hassan Hazm, arabischer Universalgelehrter, lebten in dieser Stadt. Die Hagia Sophia” in Konstantinopel, zuerst mehrere Jahrhunderte christliche Kirche, dann mehrere Jahrhunderte Moschee und die "Mezquita” in Cordoba, zuerst mehrere Jahrhunderte Moschee, dann mehrere Jahrhunderte christliche Kirche, haben etwas gemeinsam: sie sind Symbol für den interreligiösen Dialog. Diese Symbolidee wird in meinem Orgelstück "Cordoba" musikalisch in ein strukturelles Notenbild umgesetzt, das die Betrachtungen und Visionen von "Hagiia Sophia” (ED 54 282), "Ex oriente lux” (ED 55826) vollendet."
