Although the middle section flows in three-four time through-out, the initial section, that returns later, moves back and forth from four-four time to three-four time. All sections, other than the bass, have melody at some point. The piece is in the key of G major with a few accidentals and one section in the key of G minor. The playing time is about 4:20 at the marked tempo.
The difficulty level is about 2.5. Except for the first violins in a few places, the piece in playable in first position.
Other String Orchestra selections are available from William E. Moats at this site and Luck’s Music Library.
