Two important texts celebrating the Lord's Table are set to new music by Larry Shackley. An inventive piano accompaniment propels the "Bread of the World" text forward. A middle section in a new key explores the "For the Bread Which You Have Broken" text with a rising melodic line and bell-like accompaniment. The piece returns to the first key and words with confident unison singing, followed by an expressive choral ending that paints the text beautifully.
