The classic song from Coldplay arranged for Concert Band or a Flex ensemble that allows the opportunity to add Strings, Electric Guitar and 3 Keyboards to a standard Concert Band setup. This has been very useful when trying to stay true to a piece when not having the full complement of Brass or Wind players and has made it easier to rehearse with the a solid rhythm section that more accurately recreates this song. I have added some hand held percussion to the Marimba which adds depth to the arrangement and supports both the rhythm section and the lead lines. The combination ahead of a upcoming Tour of a Sinfonia Strings ensemble and Junior concert band is a big sound and gives all a share of the the tine at some point in the arrangement. The arrangement works without the 2nd or 3rd parts as the piano picks up the harmonies along with the strings.
