This funky arrangement was written by Mary Lou Williams in 1968 for her performance with the Danish National Radio Jazz Band featuring Ben Webster. The tune was originally written and recorded in 1959 by Mary Lou in a trio setting. Piano is featured extensively throughout as well as tenor saxophone. An open solo section (12 bar blues) has been included. This arrangement is not difficult and would make a fun addition to any concert! Please note that the dissonances are intentional!
