Based loosely on the Prelude in C Minor from the Well-tempered Clavier by Bach, the harmonies of this work were on my mind for years. I was waiting for a harpsichord opportunity to arise, but one for clavichord arose which gave me a reason to commit it to paper. While it is written for clavichord, it can be performed on any keyboard instrument: harpsichord, piano, organ manuals, and I suppose even synthesizer if you are so inclined.
