“Cecy” is one of Chiquinha Gonzaga’s most elegant and emotionally nuanced salon waltzes, composed around the late 19th century. Named likely in honor of a woman (perhaps a daughter or muse), the piece embodies romantic nostalgia, feminine delicacy, and graceful Brazilian charm.
