Road of Light (2005) was commissioned by Laura Manion and the Harvard Saxophone Quartet and is dedicated to them. It is a serene work with a gently unfolding lyrical texture. There are a number of "soliloquies" in the work featuring the instruments of the quartet in soloistic contexts.
