Carmen Suite No. 1, from the famous opera by Georges Bizet (1838–1875), consists of the preludes to each act, except (#3) Séguedille, which is a vocal piece. In this transcription (#3) Séguedille and (#5) Les Toréadors are transposed up a half step from the original keys, while the others remain in the original.
This publication is for concert band with full score (pp. 1–45), piccolo–harp (pp. 47–228), and transposed parts (pp. 229–315).
