„Kanon in a-Moll" geht erst taktweise, dann mit Stimmentausch, in Umkehrung, schließlich mit rhythmischer Steigerung. Es „fehlen" jegliche Vortragsbezeichnungen und genauere Lautstärkeangaben. Das heißt aber nicht, dass es gleichförmig gespielt werden soll, im Gegenteil! Hier sind den Ausführenden viele Möglichkeiten der individuellen Gestaltung gegeben!

 In „Canon in a minor" both voices first have one bar distance. Then the voices are reversed, then reversal, at last rhythmic increase. There are no presentation designations and exact dynamic designations. But this doesn´t mean that it should be played uniformly. On the contrary! The performers are given many opportunities of individual layout!
