For the first time, I've written an a cappella arrangement by commission (for a friend's wedding).
This provided a double challenge:
1. Meet my friend's requests for the arrangement: have the solo part mixed in between the different choir sections. 2. Give this arrangement for a very popular number my own touch - without it coming from a musical idea like in my previous works: incorporate the arpeggios and guitar flourishes of the original number into the arrangement.
I'm excited to perform this at his wedding - and hopefully you'll enjoy it too :)
