By The Red Hot Chili Peppers. By Anthony Kiedis, Chad Smith, Flea, and John Frusciante. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. Pop,Rock. Chords/Lyrics. 4 pages. Brian Streckfus #726986. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1126283).

1. Guitar Arrangement Lead Sheet Style. This kind of version is ideal for singer songwriters, who are more concerned with the vocal melody, rather than the nuances of the rhythm section. It is also great for singers because the more complex guitar chords emphasize the main vocal melody more (singing a note that I'm not playing on guitar has always been a challenge for me, I usually end up just singing the chord instead the more coloful "wrong note").
2. The main reason to purchase this version if that free version often don't notate the lengths of notes. Then you left there stabbing at things in the dark in my opinion (and some people are good at stabbing in the dark).
3. It's a unique version because I switch between notating the vocal melody and guitar on a single staff line.
4. The chorus has a two lines of chord progression possibilities. The bold font are the original chords, the parathensized chords are my harmonies that seem to sound better to me when concerned with the standard sheet music notation and the flow on my guitar. They are usually relative major/minor swaps, so it makes sense why those chord swaps nearly sound identical, it could be helpful if there are multiple guitarists.
5. Concise as possible without having navigation symbols. It is mostly a "left to right" arrangement.
6. Voice leading considerations
7. There is no tab but I added left hand fingerings and letter names to aid in sight reading.
8. I only aid fingerings when it is super clear and obvious that it is the best fret and finger.
8. Section markers added for easier rehersal and understanding of form.
9. A suggested scale to improvise with added.
10. Some chord names take the vocal melody in to consideration when naming them. For example the F6 in measure 6. This is where "play it like the original band" get really confusing. Even though the original guitarist maybe just played a regular F, playing an F6 will also help it tremendously to sound like the original song as well, especially if it is an instrumental version. Chords can pretty much always be simiplified or made more complex. For me, F, Fmaj7, Fmaj13 are all pretty interchangeable in the verse, so I sprinkled in some variety.
