The three chord cadences consist of major chords of I-IV-V-I scale degrees (tonic-subdominant-dominant-tonic) in all inversions.
The four chord cadences add the minor chord of the sixth scale degree (supertonic).
Descending fifths consist of sequences of chords in the order of the reversed Circle of fifths.
There is also a jazz version of descending fifths with maj7-chords instead of major chords.
