This tribute to the great tenor player, Michael Brecker, provides a brilliant feature for the first tenor sax player. Built around the style of MB, when I first saw him at the Bottom Line in the '80s, it has the harmonies and intricate rhythms of fusion music from that period with options for extended improvised solos for the first tenor and flugelhorn. Exciting, with contrasts from ballad to funk feels, it should prove a challenging and enjoyable addition to the repertoire of any band and a delight for their audience.
