Composed by Paul Nagle. Score and set of parts. Published by JPM Music Publications (JM.JB9703).

Boppin' at Brookdale is reminiscent of the laid back West Coast Big Band styles of Shorty Rogers and Bill Holman of a few years ago. Interactive unison melodic lines are pushed forward by anticipated sax and trombone section figures. A soli sax section chorus precedes alto and trumpet solos (the section can be opened up if you want). The shout chorus is interrupted by a bass solo on the bridge and a boisterous coda ends the tune. The title refers to the Brookdale Community College Big Band in New Jersey - for whom the tune was written.
