This unusually scored sextet has three movements, Andante Lento, Allegro, ma non presto and Minuetto & Trio. The six parts are clearly written for good players and the interest is equally distributed. Boccherini was an exceptionally fine cellist and bass player as was his father. The sextet is suitable for advanced players. The flute part can be played on an oboe.
