This version of Blue Skies includes the oft omitted first verse, with some original chording for the guitar. The song has been performed so many times by so many artists, it would not surprise me if the bulk of the chord sequences I've assembled for this are essentially a derivative of all the versions I have ever heard in my life, harmonies that have etched themselves into my subconscious, then recovered as needed - some call it inspiration.
That said, the novice guitar player will enjoy playing this song. The guitar work is straightforward, targeted for beginner and intermediate guitar players. As for the melody and timing, I've converted the time signature from the 4/4 timing of the original by Irving Berlin, which, incidentally, had the chord line adapted for the Ukulele, to a new time signature of 2/4. A quick look at the chord diagram placements over the bars shows one reason why this can be considered the correct time signature for this piece. Using 4/4 timing as in the original composition (quarter note heavy) requires maintaining a rhythm of ~160 beats per minute, somewhat unrealistic.
