"Back in the Saddle" was commissioned by and written for the Dos Palos High School Bronco Band, Dos Palos, California, under the direction of Mr. Keston Finney, in commemoration of the exciting return of the Instrumental Music Program which had been disbanded and eliminated for several years. The newly reformed ensemble premiered "Back in the Saddle" in their first Winter concert after regrouping.
