Written in a bright and flowing musical idiom, "Avalon: Legend and Mysteries" is the imaginary description of this legendary island, a place surrounded by mystery. According to some legends, Avalon is the place where the Holy Grail is guarded; other legends also mention the island as King Arthur's burial place. The tale recounts that Morgain the Fairy carried the king's body to the island on a boat, and that a large oak log with the inscription "Here lays Arthur, the famous king, in the island of Avalon" was found at the bottom of the sea. There are many other Celtic tales and traditions about this place. As a result, in the collective imagination, Avalon becomes a magic island enshrouded in legends and mysteries.
