"Angels We Have Heard on High" is a popular Christmas carol, set here for beginning handbell choir using only one octave. There is a new skill introduced, the thumb damp. Ringers place a gloved thumb on the back of the bell as it is rung to produced a nice staccato sound. My friend Maestro says it gives the piece "a little more class." One octave handbells range from G4 - F#5, key of A, two pages, performance time (with repeat) is 1:55 minutes at 90 bpm.
