Composed by singer and bassist Paul McCartney for his then-girlfriend Jane Asher, it was one of the biggest hits for the Beatles, as well as for McCartney, who remembers the song to this day in his performances.
The song has been covered by several artists over the years, such as Bob Marley, Sarah Vaughan, Julio Iglesias and Diana Krall. In 1970, Brazilian singer Rita Lee recorded a psychedelic version of the song for her first solo album Build Up.
