Vsenoshchnoye bdeniye. Composed by Mikhail Mikhaylovich Ippolitov-Ivanov. With Language: Church Slavonic. Musica Russica #IP-ANV. Published by Musica Russica (MR.IP-ANV).

IppolitovIvanov was one of the most respected choral composers and musical pedagogues of his time. He was a student of RimskyKorsakov and a teacher of Chesnokov. His AllNight Vigil, composed in 1905, stands as a major link between Tchaikovsky's and Rachmaninoff's settings. Composed in a clear and elegant harmonic style, this work builds upon Tchaikovsky's elegant and rich choral writing, but is less demanding than Rachmaninoff's.
